This gel is made using the Manjishtha Elixir as its base — the same blood-purifying root, reworked into a cooling gel for skin that's congested or breaking out but still needs something lighter than an oil.

Formulated by Sheetal Panjwani over two decades of small-batch Ayurvedic practice.

How it's made

• Starts with a batch of the Manjishtha Elixir, worked into an aloe-based gel
• Blended cold to protect the Manjistha and aloe from heat degradation
• Packed in small batches to keep the base fresh

What's inside

• Manjistha root — carried over from the elixir base; studied for its effect on pigment-producing enzymes and traditionally used to calm inflamed skin
• Aloe vera — the main carrier; hydrates and cools without adding oil

How it feels

• Light, faintly herbal gel, cooling on contact
• Fast-absorbing, no residue or shine
• Doesn't sting on active breakouts the way some acid-based gels do

What to expect

• Redness and congestion often feel calmer within days
• Breakouts take longer to fully settle — usually a few weeks of consistent use
• Old marks fade slowest; this supports the process rather than speeding it up

How to use

• Apply a thin layer to clean skin, morning or night
• Can be dotted directly onto congested areas or breakouts
• Follow with a lightweight moisturiser if skin feels dry
• Use daily, especially in humid weather

Good to know

• No sulphates, parabens, or synthetic fragrance
• Suited to oily, congested, or acne-prone skin
• Store in a cool place; refrigeration extends freshness once opened
