Most face washes stir herbal powders into a ready-made base. Nirmal starts as a decoction — whole Kesar, Chandan, Manjistha and Neem, slow-steeped for hours until the herbs give up what they're holding, then blended into the gentlest cleansing base available.

It's slower to make. It's also why Nirmal cleans thoroughly without that tight, squeaky feeling — the sign your cleanser took more than the dirt.

Formulated by Sheetal Panjwani over two decades of small-batch Ayurvedic practice.

How it's made

• Whole herbs slow-steeped into a concentrated decoction — not powdered extracts stirred in
• Blended into mild coconut-derived cleansers, the gentlest category available

• Chandan — cools sun-stressed skin, eases tan and unevenness

• Manjistha — supports a more even tone with regular use
• Mild coconut-derived cleansers — lifts oil, sunscreen and daily grime

What to expect

How to use

• Lather a small amount between wet palms
• Massage over damp face for 30–60 seconds, avoiding the eyes
• Rinse and pat dry, then follow with toner and moisturiser
• Morning and evening

• No sulphates, parabens, or synthetic fragrance
• Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone
• Store away from direct sunlight
